Brittany’s car fund

Hey everyone! My name is Brittany Rae. I’m a 32 year old woman living in California. I have secondary progressive MS. I was diagnosed in 2013. Throughout the last seven years I’ve faced various challenges due to my illness. Some of those years have been harder than others. 2020 proved to be a hard year for me. In March the world went into quarantine due to corona virus. I’m immune compromised. I’ve been socially isolated, and do not qualify for unemployment. I was unable to return to work because of my immunity. I am on disability, but, it doesn’t provide nearly enough. That being said, my car broke down in June. The repairs are worth more than the car itself. I need a car to go to my dr’s and get my infusion treatments that I can only get in SanFransisco (which is 3 hrs away) It’s not safe for me to take public transportation (nor cost effective) On Sunday September 27th, I went into the hospital for an MS flare up. Reason being, extreme stress, and the inability to get my medical treatments in SF without a mode of transportation. Being off that medication for 6 months caused me to go into a flare up. I need to get back on it ASAP, or I will get worse. I found a used car that I’m trying to buy. It’s a 2012 Honda Fit, with only 50k miles on it! It’s in excellent condition, and perfect for what I need. It’s safe, reliable, and realistic for my needs. The car is $5k and I have $2k saved. I just need the remaining $3k (plus fees) If you’re able to donate you’d be changing my life. MS is a horrible disease, and without that medication, I will continue to deteriorate.
