De zwerfdieren van de Safe Haven van Giannis worden voor eind juli 2020 uitgezet en zijn niet meer veilig. Op zoek naar een nieuwe plek!
Giannis, één van onze vier vrijwilligers met een eigen safe haven voor zwerfdieren in Kyparrisiá (Griekenland), en ongeveer 60 honden, katten en kippen moeten voor eind juli weg uit het huis en van het stuk grond, wat hij op het moment huurt. De eigenaar is overleden en zijn weduwe heeft een ander doel voor het stuk grond. Zelfs de burgermeester van Kyparrisiá heeft geprobeerd de vrouw te overtuigen, want Giannis is officiële vrijwilliger voor dit gebied, maar dringt niet tot haar door.
Om in de toekomst de veiligheid van onze dieren te garanderen, willen we een stuk land met een huisje aankopen. Daarnaast moeten er bouwmaterialen en hekwerk aangeschaft worden om er niet alleen voor te zorgen dat dit aangekochte stuk land veilig wordt, maar ook over te nemen is door een andere vrijwilliger, want Giannis heeft een enorm hart voor dieren en zet zich altijd belangeloos in, maar zijn hart faalt ook en als hij er een tijd uit zou raken….. willen we dat de zorg voor de dieren makkelijk over te dragen is.
Natuurlijk zijn we hard op zoek naar een tijdelijke oplossing. Huren blijft echter altijd een onzekerheid.
Wij zijn Stichting For the Strays – Paws of Greece, een enthousiast, klein team van vrijwilligers, die het beste voor hebben met de zwerfdieren van Trifiliá Griekenland. Wij proberen de aanwas van zwerfdieren tegen te gaan door te steunen bij castratie en sterilisatie programma’s; dit wordt geheel gefinancierd uit donaties, acties en herplaatsing van de aanwezige zwerfdieren op de safe havens. Dit doen we helemaal belangeloos!

The strays of the Safe Haven at our rescuer Giannis are no longer safe. They will be evicted by end of July 2020. We are looking for a new place, a new safe Haven!
Giannis, one of our four volunteers with their own safe haven for stray animals in Kyparrisía (Greece), and about 60 dogs, cats have to leave the house and the piece of land at the end of July, which he is currently renting.
The owner has died and his widow has a different purpose for the plot. Even the mayor of Kyparrisía has tried to convince the woman to let him stay, because Giannis is an official volunteer for this area, but did not get through to her.
We want to buy a piece of land with a house on it to guarantee the safety of our animals in the future. In addition, there must be building materials and fencing purchased to not only ensure that this safe haven will be just that, safe, but can also be taken over by another volunteer, because Giannis has a huge heart for animals and is always selfless, but his heart is also failing and if he should get sick because of that... we want the care for the animals to be easyly taken over by someone else. Of course we are looking for a solution for this moment, a rental. However, renting always remains an uncertainty.
We are For the Strays - Paws of Greece Foundation, an enthusiastic, small team of volunteers who want the best for the strays of Trifiliá, Greece. We try to prevent the growth of stray animals by supporting castration and sterilization programs; this all is funded by donations, actions and adoptions of the stray animals present on our Safe Havens. We do this voluntarily and are Non-Profit.

NB Because our original goal seems aimed to high, we decided to go for another solution and try renting again. So we lowered our goal to 10000 euro's.
