Lito was born in the Phillipines.
He was raised on a rice farm. After 27 years of not knowing what was wrong with his eyes and whether it could be corrected he was recently seen by the University of Utah Moran Eye institute and diagnosed with Ambyopia, Duane's syndrome and strabismus.
For the first time in Lito's life he has been told by an excellent Surgeon that he can have his eyes corrected and alligned so his eyes will not be crossed.
This surgery is not available in the Phillipines where Lito will return in four Months. The surgery is a lifetime dream for Lito to have the correction, yet he has no insurance that will cover it.
Please join us in helping give Lito the gift of eyesight correction that will enable him to walk with his head straight, to ride a bike, and look straight on to others. He is a recent graduate of BYU Hawaii and is doing an Internship in Utah. He is a wonderful young man that deserves an outpouring of love.
Lito: "Hello friends! To those of you who know me well, I’ve always tried my best to be independent. But this time, this is a battle I can’t fight on my own, and I really need your help. Since birth, I have these three eye conditions called Duane's syndrome, amblyopia and strabismus. I’ve never really heard these two terms, until I was introduced to Moran Eye Institute of the University of Utah. These conditions prevent me from having a normal eyesight and doing some activities, like driving (now you know why I never had a car even back in school, besides the fact that I can’t afford one!). A surgery is needed so these problems could be corrected. I’m scheduled to have this surgery a few months from now. However, there is a catch. The cost of this surgery is something that I can’t really afford, given this short time. So to those who have anything to spare, I really need your help.
