Voodoo King Cafe Grand Opening
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Wesley, AKA Chef Williams, owner/operator of The Voodoo King Catering Company. I provide an authentic New Orleans/Mardi Gras style experience to the greater Philadelphia area. I am preparing to expand my team, brand, and services offered, by opening my very own restaurant. “The Voodoo King Cafe: Southern Cajun Cuisine, From A Northern Point Of View” will be a local cafe style restaurant with a New Orleans theme. I want to capture the experience of visiting New Orleans with every aspect of The Voodoo King Cafe, through the awesome Cajun food, music, decor, and more.
I was born and raised in the South West and Logan section of Philadelphia. I spent all my free time in the kitchen along side my grandmother, Arna D. Booker. She was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. My grandmother taught me "southern hospitality" first hand, the importance of presentation, cleanliness, and the joy of bringing people together with food and great laughter. My grandmother passed away almost 3 years ago. Her passing left a hole in my heart and I miss her everyday. She told me once, "Wesley you have to do what’s best for Wesley and no one else" and opening The Voodoo King Cafe is what is best for Wesley. My desire to honor her legacy has pushed me to reach for the stars. The sky is no longer the limit . I know she would be very proud of me and all of that I have accomplished. I’m excited to take this next step in sharing all she taught me with the world. I truly wish she was alive to see my achievements.
In order to make my dream a reality I'm looking for all the support I can get. No donation is too small, whether it's $1 or a $100 every little bit will help. I’m grateful for any donation you can give.
Let’s make my dream a reality!
