Vong's Medical Leave

Vong Chan is a U.S. Army soldier. He has been serving his country proudly for the past twenty years, serving tours in both Iraq & Afghanistan. Vong started working at Southern California Edison (SCE) as a Distribution Field Engineer in 2016. Soon after joining SCE Vong and his wife welcomed their first born child, Nate, into their home. Vong was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma in August of 2017. He has almost completed his chemo treatment which has left him weak and unable to spend time with family and friends due a weakened immune system. Out on disability since August of 2017 has made it difficult for Vong to provide for his family and his home. We want to ask for your support in this time of need. We hope that Vong’s ongoing treatments will be successful and eradicate the cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, we are hopeful that he will come back to work to continue his long career as an engineer, a caring father and a loving husband.  We hope any donations collected can help Vong provide for his family.

I worked with Vong in the Metro West team. We hope to give his donations once we reached our goal via a check.

Vong has returend to work! He looks happy and healthy and ready to start his new chapter in his life
