#Voices4Good was initiated as a call to sportscasters and writers to donate and use their platforms to encourage others to join in this fight to support those who need us most during this unprecedented period in history.
With each passing day, Covid-19 is forcing more and more American workers into unemployment and, in turn, homelessness. Unfortunately, this means an increasing number of empty stomachs in search of the next meal.
There are lots of great causes to support during this time. So many are in need. We want to help fill the most essential need for our most vulnerable fellow citizens: helping to provide that next meal for them.
Donations go directly to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Donations are Tax Deductible.
*** NOTE: No Prize is being given away with this campaign. It is strictly a fundraiser for Feeding America. ***
Originally we were going to give away a trip to the 2021 Final Four to one donor at the end of the campaign. However, a couple days after our campaign started, it was brought to our attention that GoFundMe does not allow contests, raffles, or sweepstakes in conjunction with their fundraising. Therefore, donating a trip to the 2021 Final Four violates their policies.
All donors were sent an email via GoFundMe informing them if they want to request a refund due to the prize being off the table, they can send me (Brandon) a note utilizing the “Contact” button at the bottom of our campaign page. I will reimburse them and ensure their name is kept private.
I want to express my deepest apologies to everyone for my oversight and any inconvenience it has caused anyone.
