Whoever knows Levi knows he is sweet, caring, and loving.
Levi was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a highly malignant primary brain tumor, when he was 4.
I had the great honor to meet Levi when he was 11 at Virginia Tech. Every year the VT Baseball program held its annual “Shave for the Brave” event. All players, coaches, staff members, friends, and family members of the Hokie Community showed up to have their heads shaved for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Levi was an adopted member of the VT baseball team and that's where I learned about his story.
Now at 18, Levi is again in a battle. He has a heart tumor that’s inoperable. It’s taking up 3/4 of his left ventricle and it is attached to the back and side of his heart. Removing it will destroy his heart. If it’s malignant, he will require an artificial heart. If the tumor is benign, he will need a heart transplant.
Levi and his mother, Melina Brown, will be in and out of treatments and tests. We are raising funds to support the family for lost income, unexpected medical expenses, and any of the family's needs.
If cancer has impacted you or someone you know and love in any way, then you understand how devastating it can be on your life physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially. Every little bit helps!

Alex Perez
