I hope this message finds you all well.
I am writing to announce that I was recently awarded First Prize in the Shining Stars Debut Series of the New York Concerti Sinfonietta International Concerto Competition!
When I was fourteen years old, I saw one of my favorite pianists, Martha Argerich, perform the Schumann Piano Concerto live with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Her fiery and passionate performance moved me to tears and it has been a dream of mine to perform this concerto ever since.
I am beyond ecstatic to have the opportunity to make this dream come true.
The prize involves performing the first movement of the concerto. Yet, in order to perform the entire concerto I need to raise $3,500 for orchestral costs.
If possible, please help me reach my monetary goal. I will be performing on September 11 in Greenwich Village, which will be a day to appreciate and celebrate the gift of life and art.
