What Happened?
In December 2016, Vivens Mutangana (CMU Class of 2015) was involved in a near fatal car accident. After this ordeal Vivens spent over 3 months in ICU in recovery but thankfully was able to survive. However he remained paralyzed and is currently in rehabilitation to be able to function in a wheelchair.
As colleagues, classmates, friends and well wishers, it is sad to see one of our own go through this. He is still recovering and surviving with the assistance of friends, family.
What is needed?
After much thought, it was agreed that the surest tangible way to support him aside from the accruing medical bills was to raise funds for the construstion/acquisition of a house equipped to his needs so he can have a normal life.
The CMU Africa Alumni community is organizing a benefit marathon to raise funds for this cause. This marathon will be on 29th October at 8:30am in Kigali Rwanda starting from Telecom House.
Participation fee is 10,000 FRW. For those who might be unable to make it to the event, you can still help us raise funds by donating to this account.
