Visionary Storytelling
THE VISIONARIUM
. . . a travelling gallery exploring the world's creation stories and creating a forum in which to swap tales. Combining the visions of my work, LIVE painting and the tradition of storytelling, I illustrate how they all point us in the same direction.
I’ve been painting LIVE at events for the last 10 years, always infusing a sense of storytelling in my paintings. When I paint LIVE, I take the audience on a journey. Each piece is a character with its own story, and together they’re a tapestry that illustrates a greater story.
I began this part of the journey blazing towards Burning Man in the high desert of Nevada and back home again for a weekend in the mountains at Alchemy. Along the way, many patrons have contributed to the GoFundMe allowing for the funds to create the banners and some friends loaning the tent.
We are off to a good start and ready for the next part of this journey as we prepare to make our way down to New Orleans for Halloween and join the ALex and Allyson Grey - Deities and Demons Ball, my final show of the year.
During this next phase, the major priority is to upgrade the lighting creating a more intimate setting as well as adding to the decor and seating.
2015 looks like it will be a great year with some wonderful stops planned along the way ... see you soon.
I hope you can join me and follow along on this adventure.

What is the money for?
The goal for this first step is to take as many of my works as possible and have them reproduced onto large canvas banners and vinyl boards. Some of these banners will be 8' x 8' and will cost between $600 and $800 each. The smaller pieces on vinyl board will run between $100 and $400. All the reproductions will then be suspended from the ceiling of a 35' long by 25' wide tent (Think Sistine Chapel). Funds need to be raised for the lighting and a generator for power. A platform will sit in the center with the audience relaxing comfortably in the round, funds for the furniture and decor for the interior will also rquire funding as well. In the end, I plan to take it on the road and have some funds for fuel and transport to our first stop, Burning Man.
