Virtual Half Ironman - Turn2Me.ie

Hello Everyone :-) I am going to complete a Virtual Half Ironman this weekend which entails: 5km Run, 90km Cycle & 21km Run. I will be respecting my 2km radius from home during this event. I am raising funds for Turn2Me.ie (Online Mental Health Services)which is very close to my heart through my own experience and good friends. I have experienced Severe Depression over the past few years and know how painful and lonely a place ones mind can be at times but I also know how rewarding and helpful having someone to listen can be. Even if they say nothing or ask you the right question it can change a terrible day into a manageable day. From my close contact with mental health services it provided me with the resources to educate myself on how to manage, live with and make friends with my depression. I find sports and reading really helps me channel my negative energy in a positive way. Turn2me is a professional mental health online support organisation providing group and one to one counselling online to people all over Ireland. - Since this crisis began, service demands have increased by 204%. - We keep services low cost or no cost depending on circumstances. - Every €50 provides one hour of professional counselling or a group counselling session to 10 people.
