The Zionsville VEX IQ Robotics Team, the Steel Eagles, has been invited to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the VEX IQ World Championships. VEX IQ competitions task teams of students to design and build a robot to play a game-based engineering challenge. The competition will test STEM concepts as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communication and more.
The Steel Eagles are seeking funds to help us cover lodging while we are in Louisville and purchase materials, fees and equipment needed for the competition.
The Steel Eagles are made up of middle school students who attend both Zionsville Middle and Zionsville West Middle Schools. They are made up of fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. The Steel Eagles are coached by Andy Seward and Matt Mulholland.
