När jag var på Filippinerna 2013 träffade jag Violeta som var en av de mest underbara och sprudlande människorna jag träffade i ett annars ganska kaotiskt land. En av sakerna som inte riktigt fungerar på samma sätt som vi är vana vid här i Sverige är sjukvårdssystemet. På Filippinerna måste man betala sin sjukvård helt själv, och den är inte billig.
Min vän Violeta har en son som heter Vinsteven som är 1 år och 7 mån. Vinsteven har under de senaste veckorna legat inne på sjukhus med lunginflammation, som senare utvecklats till luftvägsinfektion med feberkramper. Dessutom har han drabbats av blodförgiftning.
Vinsteven är redo att skrivas ut från sjukhuset och ska få fortsatt behandling i hemmet till en lägre kostnad. Men eftersom Violeta inte har pengar att betala räkningen som nu är på ca 3 5000 kr får de inte lämna sjukhuset. Räkningen växer då dag för dag och det blir en ond spiral.
Därför försöker jag nu hjälpa Violeta och samla in pengar snabbare än den fortsatt växande sjukhusräkningen så att Violeta och Vinsteven kan få den fortsatta vården han behöver i hemmet till en lägre kostnad.
Vinsteven är bara ett litet barn, och man väljer inte var man föds.

When I was living in the Philippines during the winter of 2013 I met Violeta, one of the must outgoing and wonderful people I met during my stay in the country.
Violeta has a super cute son, Vinsteven, who is 1 year and 7 months old. During the past few weeks he has been admitted to a hospital in Cebu and getting treatments for Pneumonia and Sepsis, and later treatments for Febrile Seizure and Upper Respiratory Tract Infection.
The medical system isn't like the common subsidised medical system we are familiar with in Sweden/EU countries. Violeta is currently stuck with a large unpaid bill, which needs to be paid in full in order for Vinsteven to get discharged from the hospital. But Violeta is unable to pay and the bill is getting large by each day.
Therefore I have started this GoFundMe campaign to help Violeta get the sufficient funds so Vinsteven can leave the hospital, and then get the final treatments in their home.
Please help Violeta and Vinsteven. Any excess funds raised will be used for further treatments and future education.
