Just a few weeks ago, our father Vincent (Jason Craig) Della Valle, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. For his entire life, many of you have known him as a prominent singer and entertainer, as well as former owner of Jason Craig Entertainment. Until recently, his health had been incredible, as he continued to do what he always did best, singing, entertaining, and bringing his light to the people in his life through his music and wonderful and always optimistic personality. This news of his recent prognosis has naturally broadsided us as a family.
Unfortunately, this news comes right after my mother lost her job and was in the midst of finding a new one. Since the cancer is in such a late stage, she needs to focus solely on helping my dad, which means she can't work and naturally neither can he. Immediate arrangements need to be made in order to transition our parents out of their current living situation into something more affordable and practical. They are not prepared financially for this and neither is our family.
As anyone would, we are determined to achieve the best quality medical care for our father. Unfortunately, their insurances can only take us so far. My sisters and I are doing everything we can with what we have, but there are limitations, as we have young families and there is only so much we can help without it crippling us.
We are organizing this campaign to make our community of friends and family aware and to give you an opportunity to help in any way if you can. We will use any contributions to help with any uncovered medical needs and the transitional costs that will help our parents get into a more economical living situation. This money will also assist them in paying their necessary insurances and living expenses during this heavy time.
Many of you know my dad as a super positive, energetic, generous, lively and youthful energy. He has always been the life in any situation, bringing love and light to any gathering, whether it be with his family or any event he is present at. We know that there are a lot of people who love him and we decided it would not be right to deprive anyone an opportunity to help him/us if (they can) in this trying time of compromise.
We are so fortunate for our tribe of close friends and family and the existence of Go Fund Me which provides us a convenient method for going about some thing like this. We thank you whole heartedly for your prayers and your contributions.
