In Memory of Vincent Dillman

My oldest brother, Vincent Dillman, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of May 22. He will always be remembered as a devoted father, proud steel worker, avid White Sox fan and generous friend.

He'll also be remembered as a frequent visitor of The Indiana Dunes State Park and National Lakeshore. So I can think of no better way to pay tribute to his life and keep his memory alive than by making a donation in his name to the Friends of Indiana Dunes.   

When we were kids, our family spent countless hours at The Dunes, a magical mix of wetlands, prairies, rivers, forests, sandy beaches and a patchwork of mighty sand dunes.  We pitched tents, hiked the trails, climbed dune after dune, swam in Lake Michigan, made sand castles on the beach. In our teens and 20s, we carried on the tradition in our own way, spending long, sunny days at West Beach with friends. Every visit ended the same way: driving home happy and exhausted.
Contributions to this memorial will be donated in my brother's name to the Friends of Indiana Dunes.  Your donation will keep Vince's spirit alive in this beautiful, vibrant space and will support the park so others can make their own happy memories here.
