Vincent Blevins‘ Brain Surgeries Fund

Donation protected
Our nephew Vincent Blevins is 15 years old. In July of this year doctors found a golf ball size tumor in his brain. After two brain bleeds caused by the tumor, doctor say Vincent is a miracle to have survived! Two weeks ago Vincent woke up with a migraine and was taken to Harborview medical Center in Seattle. In a period of 72 hours Vincent underwent two emergency brain surgeries. All remnants of the tumor was successfully removed after the second surgery.

Now Vincent is onto his long road to recovery. He recently passed his tests to have his brain drain and feeding tube removed. In the coming days Vincent will be transferred from Harborview’s Pediatric ICU to Seattle Children’s Hospital. Where Over the next three months Vincent will relearn all of his life milestones of; walking talking, swallowing, writing and the use of his vocal cords.

This week Vincent was to be starting his Sophomore year at Curtis High School, in University Pl., Washington. Standing at 6’7 feet tall and a size 18 shoe. Vincent has been the tallest patient on record in the Pediatric ICU. He is a big brother to brother Anthony, 13 and sister Isabella, 10. Born into a Seahawks fan family. Vincent shared his love of the game playing football for the three years with University Pl., Vikes. As a defensive lineman. Until a broken collarbone injury changed his direction. Vincent was looking forward to playing water polo and swimming at Curtis high school. Vincent is a lover of books and looks forward to getting the chance to read again. He just finished the latest Stephen King novel right before his surgery’s.

Vincent will be turning 16 next month! A milestone that will have to be celebrated in the hospital. Vincent‘s parents Carolyn and Kyle Blevins have remained by his bedside these past two weeks. Surrounded by the support of Vincents friends and family.

The next road is going to be long with many ups and downs. This family needs prayers, love, support, and financial assistance. For the Blevins family to be able to continually support Vincent in his recovery as they live forward in their lives as a family.

Anything will help! As you live forward and check in with Vincent on his recovery journey. Take a moment to drop a dime, $5 dollars or whatever is available to you to give back to this family. Giving little by little goes along way. They are going to need our continued support over the next few months while Vincent is at Seattle Children’s Hospital and throughout his journey home.

Please join us on Vincent recovery! Cheer him on as he reaches his recovery milestones and new memories are made.

Please share Vincent’s story, tell a friend about what a fighter he is and offer words of encouragement to others who may be going through their own struggles. That is the Vincent way!

Our deepest thank you from our hearts to yours,
The Friends and family of Vincent Blevins
