Village School in Myanmar

Donation protected
There is a small rural school in Myanmar that a friend of ours named Alfredo started nearly a dozen years ago.  Father Tom Weston SJ always sent whatever money he could to help with the one teacher's salary, and to buy supplies and food for the kids and teachers.  In 2008, after the worldwide economic collapse, Producer Janine Reid and writer Anne Lamott joined forces with Father Tom to raise the funds needed to teach the growing school--80 kids between 5-15, now, and 3 full time teachers (!)  They learn math, science, English and Burmese.  We can supply the kids with books, supplies and their teachers, as well as make sure that everyone gets a meal at lunch time every day, for only 30,000 a year. We hold a yearly fundraiser, but realize now we need help to reach our goal, of welcoming all kids who come to this school, and to help it grow. Thank you for helping make a difference in these young people's lives.
