Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 124, Asheville,NC, is placing a Vietnam Monument at the
Charles George VA Hospital, Asheville NC. This monument will be in memory of those who
served and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in combat for our country. This
monument will include the names of the 164 veterans that lost their lives in Vietnam from
Western North Carolina. Custom Monuments of Fletcher, NC has been contracted to make this
monument. The cost of this monument is $20,000. Please consider donating to help us leave a
memorial for future generations, so that they will know the sacrifice that these men and women of Western
North Carolina, made for our freedom. Our goal is to have this monument in place by the first
of May 2018 to be dedicated during the 100th anniversary celebration of the Charles George VA
Hospital.
Any donations collected above the cost of the monument will be put into the VVA Chapter 124
scholarship fund.
