VieTalk provides free virtual Vietnamese language classes worldwide. Our mission? To provide equal opportunities and create a global network for anyone interested in learning about Vietnamese language and culture. VieTalk offers beginner and intermediate Vietnamese language courses. We have received nearly 600 applications and accepted 325 students worldwide. VieTalk gives students the necessary knowledge and skills to understand Vietnamese values and traditions, as knowing the language is vital to immersion in culture. Students who take our courses will be able to understand and communicate with the global Vietnamese community.

 

All of our students have different reasons for studying Vietnamese. Many of our students have grown up detached from Vietnamese culture and have a true desire to find a sense of identity. However, we believe that heritage is not just a group identity but an accumulation of experiences and stories that mold each individual. VieTalk is not just about being able to define yourself as Vietnamese but about creating unity by sharing Vietnamese culture with the rest of the world.

 

Our ultimate goal is to provide students with the necessary skills that they will need in order to feel closer and more connected to Vietnamese language and culture.

 

To support VieTalk’s mission, we are kindly asking for your donations. Our most important priority is to find and fund new Vietnamese teachers since we are currently unable to accept all applicants who are interested in learning Vietnamese. Part of these funds will go towards non-profit status filing. We will also use donations to create and maintain a website that will become a platform that increases our organization’s reach—this allows others to learn more about our mission. As a non-profit organization, we will use the rest of the funds to directly help students, such as using a premium Zoom account to record lessons and increasing the number of teachers and classes.
