¿Sabías que una educación de calidad cambia vidas y saca a los jóvenes de la pobreza y la exclusión? Necesitamos tu ayuda para que jóvenes en situaciones de vulnerabilidad puedan formarse, adquirir profesiones cualificadas y encontrar empleos de la calidad que les permitan vivir con dignidad.

Hola, mi nombre es María y soy la presidenta de LuzAzuL ONG, una entidad sin ánimo de lucro en la ciudad de Sevilla, al sur de España, que trabaja con jóvenes que se encuentran en situación o riesgo de exclusión sociolaboral. Hablamos de jóvenes, la mayoría procedentes del continente africano, que migraron siendo niños y sin compañía, por lo que actualmente viven en España en Centro de Menores y sin el apoyo y el cariño de una familia.

Estos jóvenes enfrentan una situación muy dura cuando, al cumplir los 18 años, deben abandonar el centro en el que viven y pasar a tener una vida independiente para la que muchos de ellos aún no están preparados.

Su origen migrante, los contextos socio-ecónomicos de los que proceden, el hecho de no haber recibido una educación de calidad, no controlar bien la lengua española, y no contar con el apoyo de familia o amigos a los que han dejado en su país de origen, hace que este colectivo presente una especial vulnerabilidad.

Por ello, resulta necesario que estos jóvenes reciban una formación profesional (jardinería, fontanería, cocina, electricidad, carpintería...) y que, antes de que cumplan 18 años y deban abandonar el Centro de Menores, cuenten con un empleo que les permita vivir con dignidad. La alternativa es tremendamente dura: vivir en la calle.

Hello, my name is María and I am the president of LuzAzuL ONG, a non-profit entity in the city of Seville, in the south of Spain, that works with young people who are in a situation or risk of socio-labor exclusion. We are talking about young people, the majority from the African continent, who migrated as children and without company, which is why they currently live in Spain in a Juvenile Center and without the support and affection of a family.

These young people face a very difficult situation when, upon turning 18, they must leave the center where they live and begin to have an independent life for which many of them are not yet prepared.

Their migrant origin, the socio-economic contexts from which they come, the fact of not having received a quality education, not controlling the Spanish language well, and not having the support of family or friends whom they have left in their country. of origin, makes this group present a special vulnerability.

Therefore, it is necessary that these young people receive professional training (gardening, plumbing, cooking, electricity, carpentry...) and that, before they turn 18 and have to leave the Juvenile Center, they have a job that allows them to live with dignity. The alternative is tremendously hard: living on the streets.
