Victoria Inner City COVID Response

The Victoria Inner City COVID Response (VICCR) was created due to concerns about the impact of COVID upon Victoria’s inner-city population, and how that could impact public health. VICCR is an independent network of inner-city clinicians working with consultants from medicine, politics, city planning, community development, and civil society. Our role is to advise and advocate for a more integrated, evidence-informed approach to healthcare delivery for Victoria's inner-city population during these difficult times.
VICCR’s organizational framework includes a physician lead (Anne Nguyen) who works closely with the executive team to provide leadership and higher-level project management. Below them, our project managers and consultants act to carry out specific tasks and implement projects. We have a Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) team of experienced researchers to advise us, as well as partners who provide direct connections to the Island Health Authority.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
1) Monetary Donations via our GoFund Me to help support our efforts and staffing
2) Supplies - due to Health Authority shortages, we need to source medical supplies (gowns, masks, gloves, and cleaning products/wipes) from community donors. If you would like to donate, or know a way we can access these supplies, please email us at [email redacted]
3) Volunteerism - VICCR needs volunteers to help with administrative and operational tasks. If this interests you, please email us at [email redacted]. Please provide some information about your skills background, your area of interest in our work, and what sort of time commitment you could provide.
