We, at Dig This! Volleyball Club, are trying to raise funds for a devastating cause. Victoria Godkin, a former Dig This! VBC player, is a beautiful 14-year-old girl whom was recently diagnosed with Sacral Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma (Bone/Cartilage Cancer).
It all started in February 2014 when Victoria began exhibiting left leg/hamstring pain. After seeking medical help from her pediatrician and therapist for what was beleived to be a pulled muscle from playing volleyball, Victoria's pain worsened and soon became unbearable. An MRI was ordered and in April, the Godkin family received the heartbreaking news. Victoria was diagnosed with a rare form of chrondoblastic osteosarcoma in her sacrum and pelvis.
Instead of starting her first year of high school this year, Vicky has started chemotherapy treatments. If all goes well, she will also be traveling to New York for an extensive 2-day surgery to remove her sacrum and effected areas of her pelvis in September.
With your donation, we would like to help Victoria and her family with medical expenses, travel expenses, and any other financial hardships they may accrue during this difficult time. 100% of all proceeds will go towards Victoria's healthcare needs.
