Vickys dream holiday with her family

Please pray for my beautiful friend & her family .
Here is Vicky’s story. Please take 5 mins to read this , it’s a long one ❤️
This beautiful, kind, caring & the most thoughtful person ever & fantastic mum to 3 boys aged 20,16 & 8 was diagnosed with a Chordoma cancerous brain tumour in July 20.
After suffering several years of neck pain, headaches & other symptoms. Back & forth to the doctors so many times. It wasn’t until she noticed that she had tongue deviation. She went back again to the doctors who then took it more seriously.
She underwent an 18hr operation in August, spent time in ICU. Unfortunately they weren’t able to remove the entire tumour as it was so close to her spinal cord, so she knew she would need further treatment to get rid of it. Time passed & she final she began Proton therapy , which she had to move to Manchester for 8 weeks. Leaving her family behind over Xmas Luckily her amazing mum was able to go with her. The plan was that she would have an hour of treatment every day & then she would be able to return to the hotel to rest, but in the whole 8 weeks she only left the hospital a couple of times. The therapy made the tumour & other parts of her Brain swell ( that’s part of the treatment I believe) therefore she wasn’t able to keep anything down, not even water so spent most of the 8 weeks being sick. At this point she could hardly talk, where it was pressing on her vocal cords. She was too weak to leave, but found some strength to be with her boys as their dad drove them to Manchester so she was able to spend Xmas day with them all ❤️. But then had to go back in as she was again to weak & needed to be on a drip & also have a tube fitted to feed her. Her last Proton therapy was Tuesday 8th Feb. We were all so happy that she was coming back to Bristol to be with her family & hopefully get a bit better. But again after a few days of being home the sickness kicked in again, she became dehydrated & very weak. So had to be taken back into hospital. Which she really didn’t want to do. So she is now at Southmead, but on Wednesday we were told that she now has Covid, pneumonia & a chest infection . All her family are trying to be so strong & hope she is strong enough to get through this. So I’m asking for you all to please pray for Vicky & her family & send as much positivity her way . She has gone through an absolutely horrendous time & I just feel so helpless, guilty as hell that my life is still continuing as normal & that I or family can’t be with her to hold her hand & support her I want to do something to help. So I’ve decided to set up a Go Fund me page, hoping that any money raised will be able to pay for a family holiday either in this country or abroad when we are allowed & when she is back to full strength. I need her to have something to look forward too & keep fighting on for her boys & her family. So if any of my friends on FB can spare a couple of pounds , this will soon add up & we can surprise her with this ❤️. I’m sorry if this has made anyone upset by reading her story, there is probably lots that I’ve missed out. So apologies to her family if I have. But I have to help some way or another. Thank you everyone for reading this & please feel free to share this. Lots of love to you all ❤️❤️
