Vicki & Keith's Medical Expenses

Vic and Keith were in a serious car accident on Saturday evening in Chaska.  They were t-boned on the  highway while traveling at 55 mph. Vic is in critical (but stable) condition at HCMC.  She suffered broken ribs, collapsed lung, brain injury,  ruptured bladder, fractured pelvis, broken vertebrae in her neck, and liver laceration.  They have her sedated because of the extent of her injuries but when they decrease the sedative medication she opens her eyes and responds, she can squeeze your hand and wiggle her toes.  Although her injuries are serious I believe she will recover.  It's going to be a long recovery and she will be in rehab for several weeks.  Keith suffered a broken collar bone,  ribs and vertebrae as well but thankfully for both of them the spinal injuries did not penetrate the spinal cord.   Keith will have rehab as well.   Both Vic and Keith are at HCMC.  Vic is in the ICU on the 7th floor and Keith is on the 4th floor.  Ben has been staying at the hospital with Vic.  Bridgette is on her way home from Hawaii and will get in early Monday morning.  Vic's sister Suzi will be here late Monday afternoon, early evening.
