Maynard is a 5 year old Golden Retriever, he will be 6 on February 17th.
2 days before Christmas I found a fist-sized mass on his right hind leg, preliminary tests indicate a malignant cancer called hemangiosarcoma. This is an ugly mass but potentially locally invasive so removing it may be all that we need do about it... but that of course comes with a price tag.
We have been lucky to have been given some gift cards for Christmas and those will cover the things done so far but there are more procedures to be covered.
Anyone who knows us, knows the challenges we've faced the last 2 years with my own medical bills and Dan's job loss. Having to sell our house we just purchased was heartbreaking and we lost our entire life savings in it.
The holidays always do a number on anyone's wallet and so we are asking for just a little help to cover the cost of diagnostics and surgery. We know this is a financially strapped time of year for all, but any little bit would help.
