I am starting this campaign for my mother- Connie Tarleton
These donations will help my family re-build my mother's home that was destroyed in the storm.
My mother will be the soul beneficiary.
I write this with a heavy heart, yet a heart that is filled with happiness and blessings, as it could have turned out much worse.
On September 14th at 7:15 am, hurricane Florence made land fall near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and changed the lives of thousands.
In a small community, called Equine Acres in Hampstead North Carolina, lives a 63 year old mother of three, that has lost everything. She recently moved into her dream home (that her youngest son and his wife just finished building her) less than two years ago with hopes of soon retiring to a life of animal rehabbing and grand-baby spoiling.
Our mother is a superhero. This women was woken during the dead of night at the age of twelve just to help her father collect a specific type of fish on the beaches of Port Aransas, Texas for FOOD. She married and had three boys at an early age and worked two jobs for as long as it took to ensure her family had what it needed to survive and thrive. When her husband died at 43, she picked herself up and made sure her kids stayed the course and made decisions in our lives, worthy of our family name.
After moving to North Carolina twenty years ago, mother found her calling. She is an avid animal lover and is one of the best rehab persons, not only in her county, but the whole of NC. But her dreams have come to a stall. This tragic event has taken our mother's dreams, and turned them upside down.
We are reaching out to ask for donations (of any size) to help rebuild our mother's home, retirement, self worth, pride, security, and most of all....peace of mind. Anyone who knows Connie Ruth Day, knows that she will give the shirt off her back to ANY walk of life in need. Not to mention her dying love for the animals and the community of Equine Acres. Please...Please..help mom. Thank you.
