Jesalyn has been a true warrior battling the complications of Lyme Disease for over 4 years time. And her partner Devon has been by her side the entire time. Unfortunately, the disease has now progressed to Late Stage Lyme Disease. Jesalyn's health deteriorated to the point she became bedridden 2 years ago. She suffers daily with nausea and intermittent vomiting, skeletal pain, muscular pain, multi-organ issues, compromised immune system, headaches, and many other neurological issues. She needs constant assistance from Devon when trying to walk on her own, due to her deteriorating health. Lyme Disease is known as the "Great Imitator" and masquerades itself as many different illnesses with 100s of different symptoms. In May, Jesalyn met with a new Lyme Literate MD in Duncan, BC who is also well versed in functional medicine. He has prescribed her several different treatments, (some of which we cannot list here due to not being legal worldwide). Only 2 of the medications Jesalyn takes daily are covered by our Provincial MSP. Jesalyn will need ongoing care for many years to come if not indefinitely. The costs of care far exceed the finances our family has available seeing as we have been battling alongside Jess for the past 5 years. If this treatment regime fails Jesalyn , we will have no choice but to seek medical attention for her at a private clinic in the US or Europe. Please help us see to it that Jesalyn gets the treatments she needs in order to gain her strength and get her life back. She and Devon deserve all the health and happiness in the world!
