Special Needs Athletes Team Supplies

We are more than excited to introduce you to a group of our town's finest athletes- The Palm Bay Powerlifters.

 

Our team is different than any other, we have a very special set of athletes who have overcome physical and cognitive challenges in their lives to become the incredible individuals they are today.

 

Although our program focuses on fitness, Palm Bay Powerlifters has also been designed to build confidence, friendships, and life building skills from our coaches , mentors and volunteers. With each practice, fundraiser, and team outing, our athletes are gaining the knowledge, skills & abilities to live a positive and passionate lifestyle.

 

 We believe in a world of fitness for everyone. A diagnosis, is just that - don’t let it be your attitude!

In order to achieve this positive attitude, it requires support from those around you. That is the purpose of our 2020 Palm Bay Team; to connect our community, to provide resources, to encourage, to support, and to give back to our athletes who have been working so diligently.

 

During our 2019 season, we had an athlete win a gold medal and hold the title for "Inspirational Athlete of the Year" at Disney's Fall Classic. This was a phenomenal achievement for our athlete and our community.

 

Currently we are fundraising for our 2020 season, we have just held Palm Bay's first ever "Santa’s Special Olympic Spaghetti Supper" with a goal to raise $5000. We are almost halfway there! Any donation or sponsorship is truly appreciated by our our team. This collective opportunity in Palm Bay enables our community to come together and deliver support and motivation for these very special athletes.

 

We are looking for support to be able to obtain the following:

Team Shirts- Olympic Powerlifting Equipment-Handicap Accessible Equipment- Medical Supplies (Pulse Oximeters, Heart Monitors)- Fundraising Supplies-Travel Expenses-Team Bonding Outings
