Vet bills for Koko

Sweet Koko has had a rough six months. We spent Palm Sunday at the 24/hour vet and since then we've been back and forth to our regular vet and the ER and specialist at Blue Pearl in Franklin, TN. She has had good days and some really miserable ones. She has been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease (like IBS in humans). We are now trying to figure out the most effective way to manage the condition going forward.
So far, her bills have been more than $4,000 in the past six months. She is now on a special food to help her body absorb the nutrition she needs and she will require medication, but that will be manageable.
All this crazy started on what should have been a happy day - her one-year adoptiversary. In late winter of 2018, she was taken in by Nashville Metro Animal Control. She was judged to be about 8 years old, had never been spayed, weight just over 9 pounds, and the teeth she had left were a mess. Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue pulled her and two other little seniors. They vetted her. She was spayed and had a dental that ended up leaving her with about 8 teeth but in all the wrong places to eat dry food. I fell in love with her the first time I saw the rescue's photos of her on social media.
While her bills will be paid regardless, this comes on the heels of my own expensive health issue during much of the past year, a leaky roof early this year that had to be replaced and the usual expenses of daily living. I am lucky because I had just saved up enough to replace my elderly heat pump but had not spent the money. Thankfully, the heat pump kept going and I've been able to do all the necessary things. If you would like to help defray Koko's vet bills, it will be much appreciated. If you would like to say a prayer that the heat pump and car stay healthy while I rebuild my savings, that would be much appreciated, too.
