Vet Bill Help for Monty the Service Dog

A million thank yous to everyone who has so generously donated so far. Tracey and Monty are overwhelmed and so full of love for you all! We have decided to raise the campaign goal as Monty's vet bills are on-going. Any surplus at the end of the campaign will go towards a future assistance/therapy dog who will be able to continue Monty's work. In the meantime Monty has been lighting up ZOOM meetings, bringing joy and comfort to his students and friends.
5 year old Monty is an expertly trained service dog who works as a social assistance dog for children with developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. As everyone’s favorite co-worker at Learning Solutions, LLC in Norwood, MA, he is an invaluable teaching aid in regards to social behavior tutoring, speech therapy, and mental health counseling. Sadly, even dogs as exceptional as Monty, can fall unexpectedly ill. After a long weekend at the vet we have learned that Monty has an inherited, metabolic condition which causes an unusually small liver with a variety of complications that are difficult and expensive to treat. Our goal is to make sure that Monty is comfortable and well cared for while lessening the financial burden taken on by his loving family and handlers. It is hard enough to see our furry friends suffer, but Monty is so much more than a pet and his contributions to his family at home and at work adds additional heartbreak to the situation. Monty is loved by many children as a trusted best friend.
We know things are especially hard these days, but any small contribution you can consider would mean the world as Monty’s family navigates the next week or so with their best buddy. Your support will help to provide Monty time not only with his family, but also with many young clients and families who love him as well.
