Raise Funds to Create Kid's Book

My name is Sam Vest. I'm an independent artist based in North Hollywood, CA. My goal in life is to inspire others to express themselves aritistically to enjoy life to it's fullest! You can check out my work on my website:  www.VestFilms.com .

I need your help to raise funds for a kid's book I'm writing and illustrating called, "Hole in My Heart". This will be the 4th kid's book I've illustrated, but the frustrating thing is that the first three books I worked on are still not published! This is because the creative control lays in the hands of the authors. Well I'm writing this one so I'm finally taking control of my artwork!

"Hole in my Heart" is a passion project I have thought about for years and the time is finally ripe to make it happen. The story is a deeply personal reflection of my struggles with depression and journey to fill the void it created inside me. It's a dark story told in a highly whimsical manner yielding a rambunctious and entertaining work of art.

The campaign funds raised will helped cover my overhead so I can work full time to finish writing and illustrating the book. I have big ambitions for this project. Once the book is completed I plan to launch a subsequent crowdsourcing campaign to print and publish it. And from there I'm already taking steps to adapt "Hole in My Heart" in to a musical short animated film!
