Verso l'Eldorado dell'innovazione: Supportami!

Ciao a tutti! Sono Giacomo, un giovane ambizioso con un amore profondo per la matematica e una passione per il tech. Nella mia terra, il Salento, ho avuto la fortuna di muovere i miei primi passi da matematico, circondato da un ambiente creativo e a misura di studente.

Sono sempre stato del parere che le cose più importanti che un individuo possa fare sono due: guardarsi dentro è la prima, seguire ciò che vi trova è la seconda. Così, a giugno dello scorso anno ho preso una decisione: sospendere la triennale e iniziare un percorso tutto mio, che mi ha portato qui a Pisa, dove mi trovo ora.

Sono venuto qui per dedicarmi allo studio di problemi al confine tra la matematica e la fisica, come ad esempio i cosiddetti problemi a frontiera libera, con l’obbiettivo di fare ricerca in questi temi. C’è qualcosa in questo genere di problemi che mi affascina, che cattura la mia attenzione fin da quando ero un bambino.

Per rendere sostenibile questa scelta, e quindi mantenermi a Pisa, ho intrapreso un percorso lavorativo (completamente in smart working) part time, nel quale ho l’opportunità di applicare le competenze apprese negli ultimi anni in materia di business, innovazione e intelligenza artificiale.

Sto mettendo tutto me stesso in questo progetto di vita, facendo all in su quello che amo fare.

Cosa c’entra la Silicon Valley con tutto questo? Sono stato selezionato per la Silicon Valley Fellowship (SVF), un programma di studio e formazione pratica intensa, durante il quale avrò l’opportunità di immergermi a pieno nella mentalità della Silicon Valley, attraverso visite aziendali, laboratori, workshop e momenti di condivisione delle esperienze con startupper di successo, ingegneri e businessman delle big tech.

Questa è un’occasione unica per imparare dai migliori in materia di innovazione tech e lasciarmi ispirare, in modo da tornare in Italia con qualcosa di unico in mano da distribuire nei prossimi anni sul mio territorio.

Ora, sto cercando il vostro aiuto. Necessito di supporto finanziario per rendere quest’opportunità irripetibile una realtà. Faccio un lavoro part time con il quale mi mantengo per poter studiare, ma i costi del programma di formazione e la permanenza di circa due settimane a San Francisco vanno ben oltre le mie disponibilità.

Per poter andare in Silicon Valley necessito di circa 5.450 euro, che verranno esclusivamente investiti in queste due settimane di full immersion.

Cosa farò con il know-how acquisito da questa esperienza?

• Racconterò la mia esperienza qui sui social (LinkedIn, Instagram e Facebook), con lo scopo di condividere informazioni utili e ispirare altri giovani come me;

• Condividerò ad ampio raggio il know-how acquisito con l’ecosistema di startup italiano.

Hello everyone!!! I am Giacomo, an ambitious young man with a deep love for mathematics and a passion for tech. In my land, Salento, I was lucky enough to take my first steps as a mathematician, surrounded by a creative and student-friendly environment.

I strongly reckon that the most important things an individual can do are mainly two: digging deep within himself is the first, following what he finds there is the second. So, in June last year I made a decision: to suspend the three-year degree and start my own path, which brought me here to Pisa, where I am now.

I came here to devote myself to the study of problems on the border between mathematics and physics, such as the so-called free boundaries problems, with the goal of doing research in these topics. There is something about these kind of problems that fascinates me, that has captured my attention since I was a child.

To make this sustainable, and thus support myself in Pisa, I have embarked on a (fully smart working) part-time career path, in which I have the opportunity to apply the skills I have learned over the last few years in business, innovation and artificial intelligence.

I am putting my whole self into this life project, going all in on what I love to do.

What does Silicon Valley has in common with this? I have been selected for the Silicon Valley Fellowship (SVF), an intensive study and hands-on training program during which I will have the opportunity to fully immerse myself in the Silicon Valley mindset through company visits, labs, workshops, and experience-sharing time with successful startuppers, engineers, and big tech businessmen.

This is a unique opportunity to learn from the best in tech innovation and be inspired, so that I can return to Italy with something unique in hand to deploy in the coming years in my territory.

Now, I am looking for your help. I need financial support to make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality. I have a part-time job with which I support myself in order to study, but the cost of the training program and the stay of about two weeks in San Francisco is beyond my means.

In order to go to Silicon Valley I need about 5,450 euros, which will be exclusively invested in these two weeks of full immersion.

What will I do with the know-how gained from this experience?
