Veronika Zajacova Gerganov has worked with Norah McNally at Norah’s salon in East Belfast for several years. I’ve long been among Veronika’s clients and I’m sure that I’m not alone in appreciating her wonderful positivity and good cheer, no matter what is going on in the world, let alone her great skill as a masseur at dealing with muscle tension and back pain!
Towards the end an already difficult year – with the salon being obliged to close for long periods (and obliged to close again throughout January 2021), and her wedding to Callan being downsized due to COVID-19 restrictions – Veronika was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
She remains positive and will move to Scotland in February to undergo surgery and to be near family to help with her recovery.
That period of recuperation will last for months – months in which Veronika will be unable to make a living. I hope this Go Fund Me campaign, which is being run in cooperation with Norah and with Veronika’s humble acceptance, will raise enough money for Veronika not to have the additional stress of financial worry while she recovers. ALL of the money raised (bar the very small percentage that GoFundMe require) will go to Veronika.
