Vera Horeva, wife of Michael Horev, and mother of three sons - Ivan, Pavel and Benjamin, grandmother of 17, went to be with the Lord on March 23rd 2019 at the age of 84, four days before her 85th birthday.
She was born in Moldova in a Christian family in 1934, graduated from Medical University in Kishinev and worked as a medical doctor for 27 years. She came to know the Lord as her personal Savior at the age of 17 and secretly was baptized at the age of 24. When Vera was 27, she married Michael Horev and consequently became a wife of a pastor of an underground church. She was a faithful partner in her husband's ministry who was imprisoned for 12.5 years for his faith. Years of suffering and persecution did not break her spirit rather made her a stronger believer in Christ. She raised their three sons fulfilling the duty of a mother and a father. She left an uncompromising example of courage, trust and compassion.
Every contribution will benefit the establishment of a lasting memory of her life. Presently we are working to edit her memoirs which we plan to publish in the near future.
