4 Alarm Fire Victim NJ 78 yrs old & partially deaf

My Jersey City Neighbor Vera is a sweet Brazilian 78 yr old partially deaf woman and she was the victim of the recent horrific 4 alarm fire that destroyed 2 houses a few blocks away from us April 5th at 10am. Her basement bedroom in exchange for babysitting at the homeowners' request was her only home and the day after the fire, Jersey City safety division entirely demolished the house making her totally homeless. She had no insurance of any kind, no family here in the USA or in Brazil (besides her older sister of 84 years old who is also childless.) Please help me help her rebuild her life as this catastrophe rendered her with nothing to her name....she lost her hearing aids and belongings escaping only with her wallet, passport and bathrobe. She speaks limited English (I speak Portuguese and have been caring for her at the behest of the Red Cross) She needs as much help as possible The headline photo was taken April 6th less than 24 hours after the blaze raged and realized there was no way to get ANYTHING from the basement bedroom. In addition to needing hearing tests and hearing aids...eyeglasses and all the basics for a new life, we will use this fund to ensure her safe housing given her limited resources and zero income. She retired at 63 as a librarian in Brazil and lives off a minuscule pension which is paid in another country. I hope you will be able to help ...please share and if you can also donate please do. I will be transferring the funds to her US bank account and her brazilian bank account with the oversight of someone who once hired her as a housekeeper (15 years ago when she first arrived in NYC she had a great boss and we are working as a team to assist her.) The person has a lot of trusted contacts in Rio to help her go back home where she would finally have health insurance and other support that she does not have here in the United States.
