Laurie Ramsden and Patrick Reed are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Venis Sarmiento.
Venis is a 20-year old young lady who was adopted at birth. Her adoptive parents were considerably older. She lost her father in 2020 to chronic disease and just lost her mother on August 19, 2021, also to chronic disease. Venis is a kind and gracious young lady with a heart of gold and an unexpected resilience that most would envy. Venis was very close to her mother and lived in recent years with her mother in an unimposing home. Money was scarce for the family and, unfortunately, the loss of her mother has left Venis homeless, without a vehicle, and without financial or family support. We are seeking the help of friends and the kindness of strangers to give this young lady a fighting chance at making a life for herself. Venis has a full-time job as a teacher’s assistant helping children with autism and learning disabilities, a job that she loves and has the grace and temperament to do well. She also holds a part-time evening and weekend job at a local retail organization. She helped her mother with the family finances, with little remaining for herself. Our goal is to give Venis a chance to get on her feet financially and begin building her life—a life without the support of family, something many of us take for granted. Donations will go directly to Venis to help with a place to call home, a vehicle, and future expenses.
Please become a part of “Venis’s Village” and consider donating to support this kind-hearted young lady.
Even a small donation could help with this fundraising goal for Venis. Whether you can donate or not, it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a moment to share the fundraiser to help spread the word. Thank you! ❤️
