Ventnor Family Loses Everything in Fire

*100% OF ALL FUNDS COLLECTED WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE SANCHEZ-MONTES FAMILY DISPLACED BY THE TRAGIC FIRE THAT OCCURRED ON JUNE 18 2022*

On Saturday, June 18th, tragedy struck the Ventnor Community and devastated the lives of several families when a horrific fire destroyed a building on the 5200 Block of Ventnor Avenue, including the apartment where the Sanchez-Montes Family was living in.

The Sanchez-Montes Family, consisting of a Father, Mother and Daughter, lost everything in the fire and need your help to rebuild their lives. They lost their work tools, clothes, ID documentation, money, cell phones, and everything else as they had to evacuate the building immediately.

The Sanchez Family has received one-time emergency assistance from the American Red Cross and has also graciously received help from generous Ventnor neighbors and community leaders in the form of gift cards, clothing, food and temporary short-term housing.

Mrs. Emily Christian of the Ventnor Business Association has been working nonstop to help the family rebuild their lives.

Currently, the Sanchez-Montes Family is staying at a hotel for one week while figuring out the next steps

The Sanchez Family is asking for your help finding and financing permanent housing. They need help with the deposit for a new apartment and the rent as they work to regain stability.

Additionally, the Family will need help buying furniture and mattresses to sleep on, clothing/shoes, work tools, phones to communicate with family, groceries, appliances and other startup needs.
