in 2008 Venerable Stanley was diagonised with a centrally herniated degreased disc at L4/L5 with lateral forming extension with stenosis and L5/S1 spondylolystesis.
On the 21st of November 2008 he underwent a L4/L5 level discectomy an decompression of the nerve root at L5/S1 with L4 to S1 posterior spinal fusion. After physiotherapy, we has discharged on the 2nd of December 2008 with good control of the pain and no neurological disorder and a hospital bill of about $20,000. Fast forward 10 years the pain has returned and this time very unbearable. The doctors have advised that a Decompression and Fusion L3-L5 surgery will need to be carried out ASAP
