Veins of Resistance Chile Human Rights Documentary

Welcome! I hope you'll watch the latest trailer for Veins of Resistance.

I dedicate my life to empathetic journalism and filmmaking about Indigenous sovereignty and social movements for change. After more than four years of work directing Veins of Resistance while living in Chile, I’m ready to return to the U.S. to share my second feature-length film to inspire learning and evoke action in 2020.

Independent journalism is by nature utterly reliant on community backing to keep the public informed, while refusing all corporate money. When I give, I check out my colleagues work first.

While living in Chile, I have published my work on Indigenous sovereignty and social movements for change with Democracy Now!, Discovery Channel, Free Speech Radio News, Intercontinental Cry, Unicorn Riot, and others. Next, I’m covering Greta Thunberg’s arrival at the COP25 U.N. Climate Change Conference in Santiago de Chile.

You’re invited to review my new portfolio site. My previous feature length documentary, We Can’t Eat Gold was covered in the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper  and received three international film festival awards. I feel so thankful for each person who has participated in funding my work in years past. I’m proud to continue sharing with you exactly how I spend each penny:

I put each donation in action ASAP, as I work daily to share our documentary work of independent journalism with more people than many might think is possible on our budget. Though funds for making Veins of Resistance have been limited to a few thousand dollars so far, our blood, sweat, and tears proved sufficient to give birth to a film that grew to completion through each participant’s integrity, empathy and insight. Now, we need your participation to share our film with thousands of people who want to learn about Indigenous sovereignty and social movements for change in 2020. I hope each person reading this feels how grateful I am.

Thank you!
