Get Room 23 to Denmark

Donation protected
Golda Meir is an award-winning School that draws students from all over Milwaukee. For the past 21 years, an entire class of Golda Meir 4th graders has had the opportunity to travel to Copenhagen, Denmark for a two week immersive learning experience. While in Denmark, students live with host families, attend their neighborhood schools and tour hitorical sites and museums. Before their journey, students learn Danish language, and learn about their culture and history.
In December, the MPS Administration handed down a district wide decision to cancel all international student travel in response to violence around the globe. The parents and students of Room 23 acknowledge the risks of any travel, but firmly believe that these kinds of experiences are critical to breaking down global barriers and opening the hearts and minds of people here and abroad; so they have decided to continue the trip outside of the district. Unfortunately continuing the trip outside of the district means no MPS  fundraising to help offset the costs.  The class of 1995, the first class to ever take part in this amazing experience, feels so strongly about the the life changing experiences we had during our trip to Denmark 21 years ago, that we would like to help make this year's trip possible for Room 23. Please help us ensure the current class of Room 23 can have the same life changing experiences we had.
