We are saddened to announce that Raymond VanOcker, Respiratory Therapist, passed away on Wednesday Sept 5th while here at work. Ray’s fellow RT’s, nurses, and physicians worked tirelessly to revive him to no avail.
Ray was a passionate patient advocate who worked here at Kaiser for 20 years. His patients affectionately referred to him as “That Cowboy Guy.” You always knew when he was coming by the sound of his cowboy boots clunking along the hallway.
Our hearts go out to his wife Myong, son Paul, and grandchildren Dominic, Rosalie and Ryan.
The RT department has created a GoFundMe page to collect donations to help his family.

Relationship to Raymond is fellow coworker at Kaiser San Jose.
Funds will be sent directly to Paul, Raymond's son, as the beneficiary.
The use of these funds will go to funeral costs and family medical insurance.
