On Sunday July 28th, 2019, the Vang family experienced a tragic episode in their home. Their eldest daughter, Laile Vang, was murdered, and the parents, Mai and Teng were brutally shot. Both parents lost an arm each but the family lost their beloved daughter and sister, Laile.
Laile was a beautiful soul. She was kind to everyone, always smiling, and never cruel. She took life one day at a time. She enjoyed traveling the world, eating delicious food, taking photos, and listening to good music. Laile was the glue that held her family together. She was the big sister that everyone turned to for advice. She was the daughter that helped her parents with bills and chores. She was the friend that always offered a lending hand and listening ear.
Mai and Teng were both hard workers, earning to support their family through work and gardening to sell produce at farmer’s markets. They labored in the hot sun every chance they got just to earn a little more for their family. Teng was scheduled to have heart surgery on July 31st. The family got together with their church members to pray for him the day of the tragedy in preparation for the surgery.
We are asking for donations to help fundraise money to help with hospital costs for Teng and Mai as both are still in critical care but are in stable condition. We are hoping to fundraise money to help with funeral expenses for Laile. All proceeds will go to the family.
