Vanessas fight against Pineal Tumor

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Vanessa. I am from Queens, Maspeth.  I was diagnosed five years ago with a pineal tumor, which is currently a benign tumor at the moment.  Pineal tumor is an abnormal growth in or near the pineal gland.  What this does to me is affecting my sleep cycle, eventually I may lose my vision, and it might affect my speech and balance. One of the major symptoms that I'm having  to face every day is severe headaches every single day, and numbness to the fingers and face, slight memory fog. My journey since then has consists of fighting a battle every single day of my life. Living with headaches every single day is not your "ideal" way of living a life at such a young age. I've done research and found a doctor out in Houston Texas, Dr. Dong Kim, specializes in what I have.  On my recent visit  on February 27 2018, Dr. Dong Kim has given me those words that no one ever wants to hear, "you are a candidate for surgery". My family and I are trying our best to get all the help that we can get, even a $1 will bring us a long way, every  bit  counts.  This surgery will save my life and will help me gain back my strength and ability to live my life as a young woman.
