Vanessa and Darianne COVID & Financial Relief Fund
Don protégé
I'm reaching out to try and get some help for my great friends, Vanessa Anne and her daughter Darianne, who have been battling many setbacks over recent years with the latest being the passing of their mother/ grandmother due to complications from COVID and her other serious health issues ranging from Parkinsons disease to a blood infection. The around the clock care of Vanessa Irene for the past two and a half years has been very demanding time wise and financially which caused tremendous sacrifices and neglect to other essential living expenses along the way.
Late on a Monday night, Vanessa Irene spiked a high fever and the decision was made to take her back to the Emergency Room where she was admitted to the hospital for urinary tract infection, IV antibiotics, testing and observation. Several days later, Vanessa Anne was notified that her mom had tested positive for Covid. Vanessa Anne, Darianne, and those involved in her care got tested and quaranteened. The tests came back positive for Vanessa Anne and her daughter, Darianne. They both subsequently fell very ill, and it took 2 months until they got over their viral infections and Vanessa Anne's COVID Pneumonia. During this time, there was no income due to them being self-employed, making them ineligible for sick pay or unemployment. Unfortunately, they are still suffering from side effects and the long aftermath that COVID can leave behind.
Towards the last year and half of Vanessa Irene's life the intense care that needed to be provided far surpassed the hours that Vanessa Anne and Darianne put into their full time jobs of wellness coaching and delivering auto-parts as well as their part time job of cleaning their church every week, leaving them with only 2-4 hours of sleep each day and virtually no time for self care.
Many unfortunate events over the past 2 decades have befallen this family, beginning with Vanessa Anne becomming severly ill, suffering from undiagnosed untreated Chronic Lime Disease which forced her into a bed ridden state for a number of years.
During this time Colonel Frank S. Duling became ill with Alzheimers Disease where he required more and more care from his daughter Vanessa Irene, granddaughter Vanessa Anne, and great granddaughter Darianne until his eventual death from this disease in 2013.
As Vanessa Anne was diagnosed and began treatment for her Lime Disease, she started to improve health wise just to receive news that her mom, Vanessa Irene had Parkinsons disease. This led to Vanessa Irene, the mom, having to quit her full-time job because she felt she was unable to safely drive her car due to the deteriation of her fine motor skills.
Over the past 7 years Vanessa Anne has been the sole provider for her whole household as well as her mother's, and she was barely able to get by in that position.
As soon as some stability started to manifest in this caotic circumstance, Vanessa Anne was once again faced with a life threatening diagnosis, Stomach Cancer, from which emergency surgery had to take place, hospitalizing her for over a month and leaving her in a severly weakened and fragile state. This occured 3 years ago and left her with a golf ball sized stomach, rerouted bowels, servere dietary restrictions beyond the previously existing nutritional limitations due to the damage caused by the Chronic Lime Disease, leaving her with daily bouts of extreme nausea, dumping syndrome, and intestinal issues more often than not leaving her in incapacitated states for minutes to hours every time.
With overwhelming illness in so many directions, comes overwhelming debt.
Due to Vanessa Irene's illness, she failed to apply to Medicare and by the time Vanessa Anne was on the forefront of taking over everything, Medicare wouldn't accept the late application for an entire year meaning Vanessa Irene had no insurance and everything had to be paid out of pocket. And, it just so happened that this would be the year that was most crucial for Vanessa Irene as it's where she more rapidly declined in health. Medicare then went on to fine her for not having applied at the correct time by docking her Social Security payment by 60%.
Unfortunately for this family the only thing left is MASSIVE DEBT.
There has been physical and financial help along the way, but the situation has escalated to far too much for Vanessa Anne, Darianne, and the aid of a small group of close friends to remedy the situation.
In closing, this really is a tragic situation that has happened to two of the best people I know who continue to maintain a very outgoing and positive perspective on life despite their dire predicament. They frequently give essential items, snacks and water they collect to the homeless and people in need. They always remember birthdays and holidays for their coworkers and friends, expecting nothing in return. They strive to be avaialbe to help anybody who needs a hand even with the trememndous pressure they're under in their own lives.
Please share with us as generously as possible and please, please, please share this with your friends in turn.
God bless you all ❤
