Vanessa and Baby Oliver

Donation protected
Baby Oliver and his mother, Vanessa, were not expected to live when Vanessa had an Amniotic Fluid Embolism during labor. This caused respiratory failure and Vanessa immediately went into cardiac arrest.  An emergency C-section was performed, but Oliver was born with no signs of life. The doctors were able to revive baby Oliver, but he was not able to breathe on his own nor was he showing normal signs of brain activity. The doctors were also able to save Vanessa, however suffering the aftermath of the embolism and having sustained an enormous amount of blood loss, she too remained in critical condition. By the grace of God and against all odds, both mother and baby pulled through. Over the past 2 months, baby Oliver has been exceeding medical expectations. He is now breathing on his own, but the extent of his brain damage is still yet to be determined. Oliver requires a tube to eat, but through the help of speech and physical therapy and lots of prayers, he is slowly learning how to suck and swallow so that he may one day be able to eat like a normal child can. Vanessa and her baby have a long road ahead of them. They continue to seek resources and support, but baby Oliver requires special supplies and care that are not readily available. And Vanessa, still in recovery and unable to return to work in order to care for her special needs infant, is facing financial struggles that are making it harder to make ends meet. That is why I am reaching out to the community now in their time of great need. Vanessa and her family are eternally grateful for all the love and prayers that have gotten them through over the last several weeks. From the bottom of their hearts and mine, THANK YOU! Now I am asking for your support in the form of monetary contributions to help alleviate some of the financial pressures that are upon them. Any amount, great or small, is helpful and will go directly to helping Vanessa and her family with medical costs, food, and other costs of living that are becoming difficult if not impossible to pay. Thank you for reading this, and PLEASE continue to keep Vanessa and baby Oliver in your prayers!
