Created in 2018, Van Wert County Community Emergency Response Team (VWCERT) is an attachment to Van Wert Emergency Management Agency. VWCERT supports emergencies, including family and firefighter support services at house fires, traffic control when local law enforcement requests, and any other tasks deployed by the EMA.
During this COVID-19 pandemic emergency, VWCERT provides delivery of essential food and supplies to those unable to travel on their own, who are sick or should not be in contact with other people. Our 26 active members staff the call center for the Van Wert EMA during this COVID-19 pandemic from 9 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday.
