Van for our boys

First, I'd like to say "thank you" for clicking on this and taking the time to read this story. Second, I'm doing this for my amazing girlfriend name Cindy Clark.  She hates asking for help and not really good at accepting help. So you can imagine how hard it is for her to ask for a "handout". But she truly needs all the help she can get. Cindy has two wonderful, caring, loving, and a great sense of humor teenager boys name Ryan and Daniel. Both are diagnosed with DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) since the age of 3 and 5 years old. Ryan just turned 13 and Daniel will be 15 in September. They both have special needs and are confined to wheelchairs. DMD is the most common, fatal and severe form of muscular dystrophy in children.  It is a progressive disorder that causes the muscles to become weaker over time until it affects the whole body.  Treatments like Physical Therapy, and braces can help but this condition can't be cured.  This brings me to this GoFundMe account.  Neither Cindy nor myself have vehicles that could fit two powerchairs. So we clearly need a bigger vehicle.  We have been trying to finance one for many months but because both of us are currently financing vehicles (that have more owed on them than they are worth) we are having problems.  Although our credit isn't the worse, it is also not the greatest.  In order to get a bigger vehicle that not only fits our family but also fits our budget.  Cue: the GoFundMe account. Without a wheelchair accessible van, Cindy and I have to lift the boys in and out of the van and then put one powerchair and the other a push chair in separately.  This is physically taxing and time consuming.  It is getting difficult for mostly Cindy to lift them herself.  This van would not only give the boys more independence to get in and out in less time and with little to no help, it would also prevent Cindy and I from having to physically lift them in and out of the van. This account is being created in the hopes  of raising enough money for a new wheelchair accessible van.  This would be a blessing to our family and would make our lives easier and less stressful. This fundraiser is specifically a fund to save up for a substantial down payment on a new wheelchair accessible van. Thank you in advance for your time, kindness and compassion.  God Bless.
