Several people have asked if we have a way to accept financial support for Valerie, so here is way to do so.
We made the decision to deliver at Children's Hospital. They clearly have the best doctors, and it is the best place to give Valerie any chance of survival. This is a "Tier 2" provider with our insurance, meaning we will pay 30% of our bill, up to $5250 per person or $15,750 for our family.
We honestly haven't been thinking of financial cost much yet. It is possible that our costs could go down if Children's waived some fees through their charity program. Our costs will likely go up if she survives and needs more care or if she dies and we plan a funeral. In any case, we thought we would put up this component of the page if people have a desire to donate.
