On September 28, a massive and deadly earthquake struck Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province, triggering a tsunami and a number of powerful aftershocks. To date, the death toll stands at more than 2,000, with more than 10,000 injured. The damage was catastrophic and tens of thousands of families have lost their homes and belongings.
While our operations in Indonesia were not impacted directly, our PT Vale team has truly lived our value of 'Life Matters Most' by providing extensive help through this disaster. A number of personnel have been volunteering countless hours through the effort through search and rescue efforts, medical aid, engineering assessments, basecamp services logistics distribution and deployment of heavy equipment.
In order to demonstrate our care for our colleagues and their country at this difficult time, please consider making a donation to this page to help in their ongoing aid efforts. Every little bit counts -- lets stand beside our colleagues at PT Vale and show them how much their North Atlantic colleagues care.
