Valdes Family IVF Fund

This is our story. Michael and I met in 2005 through online dating. A year and a half later we were married in Oct 2006. We both always wanted a family, at least two children and some fur babies. In January 2008 we began trying to start our family. That year I had 2 miscarriages. After the second miscarriage we kept trying but with no luck.

In 2011 we saw a fertility specialist and I was diagnosed with PCOS. At this time we could not afford to move forward with IVF treatment. Since we were still young we thought we would just keep trying on our own. No Luck.

In 2020 I discovered our health insurance now covers a portion of IVF fertility treatment. We saw a new doctor, had all the tests and then some run. Same results our best hope is IVF. Not being as young now, I am 38 and Michael is 41, and I have a low egg volume, this may be our last opportunity. We have some savings but most was used up during Michaels's Covid-19 layoff (he has since returned to work) and for the fertility testing.

For those that don't know, infertility is a heartbreaking experience. You never think you will be affected. To live with the constant hope that this is your month only to be disappointed is a never ending rollercoaster. You feel inadequate and for me like I am a failure as a woman and a wife.

With all the testing we have managed to almost meet our out of pocket expenses for the year. We need your help to cover the remaining out of pocket expenses and the medication, which is not covered by insurance.  We have to move quickly; we have just 2 weeks, until November 20, 2020 to raise the funds and make it onto this year's insurance.
